Hi! Don’t know if it fits In this group, But have anyone Else had issues with taking a mental health Day to recover and feeling guilty about it? Even if it’s a less important class that you Can study from home etc. I always feel guilty for not showing up But I know I need a break.
You’re mental health is more important than missing one class. It’s important to get well first to have the fuel to get through school!
I did it all the time in high school because of emotional overload. I am taking online college courses and even though I am not in a classroom I will take a day or two off to get my bearings together or I will go into overload mode. It is ABSOLUTELY ok to do this.
Yesss I’ve definitely felt a similar way due to academic burnout and just ignoring what my poor mind was trying to tell me over and over again 🙃
Yes but don’t feel guilty. You need to recharge and reenergise your body and mind for the rest of the week.
