Hi everyone, any advice would be great. I really want to lose weight but I struggle with being outside on my own due a trauma that happened (non direct). The gyms near me are always booked on weekends and work during the week. I’ve tried home workout but find it hard to get the continuing motivation to do them. I’m getting married next July and really want to slim down especially my face. Any help is gratefully appreciated. 😁

Hey Chloe! Such a great topic. Firstly congratulations on your future marriage ! July weddings are the best. I wish you and your partner all the best. I can fully relate to not finding the needed motivation to work out at home. I struggle with similar issues, I personally avoid gyms like the plague because nobody here is being covid safe and that stopped being an option long ago. What I find extremely helpful is to great the same routine as if you were to go to the gym but at home. For example , pick a favourite routine you want to follow and dedicate specific days and times as if you were to go to the gym. So you know that that time is blocked out for workouts only. When we are at home we tend to keep postponing because we can do it at any time. Also set small but realistic goals. It can be very overwhelming to look at the whole picture and if we set goals that are way too hard in the beginning we can easily give up. You can also reward yourself for finishing a work out , like - if I finish this work out today I’ll take a nice bath ( or whatever works ) finding motivation is hard! Another thing that helps me is finding a work out buddy. Peer support and motivation works wonders. Just having someone who will hold you accountable and will motivate you throughout can help. Let me know if you need to chat more about it

Walk with a friend or a pet ? Walking regularly reduces weight loss significantly.
